Day Eight - 3 Temple Tour - Palma de Mallorca

The 3 Temple Tour stop yielded a perfect weather, walking tour which included the cathedral by the sea, La Seu, known as the cathedral Santa Maria.  We also saw the L’Almudaina, the Banys Arabs, and several narrow passageways and village squares.  It was a delightful day.

Palma de Mallorca, the vibrant capital of the Balearic Islands in Spain, is a destination that seamlessly blends history, culture, and natural beauty. With its picturesque harbor, historic architecture, and modern amenities, the city has become a popular hub for tourists seeking  a Mediterranean escape. The heart of Palma is the historic Old Town, where narrow cobblestone streets wind through charming squares, revealing architectural gems like the stunning Palma Cathedral, also known as La Seu. This iconic Gothic cathedral stands as a testament to the city's rich past and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding area from its rooftop.

Palma's maritime charm is evident along its waterfront promenade, Paseo Marítimo, lined with restaurants, cafes, and luxury yachts. The city's cultural scene is vibrant, with numerous museums, galleries, and performance spaces. Art lovers can explore the Es Baluard Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, showcasing a diverse collection of Balearic and international  artwork. For those seeking a taste of local life, the bustling Mercat de l'Olivar market offers a feast for the senses, featuring fresh produce, seafood, and traditional Mallorcan products.

Beyond the urban environment, Palma de Mallorca is enveloped by the natural beauty of the Mediterranean landscape. The nearby Bellver Castle offers panoramic views of the city and the sea, while the beaches of Palma, such as Playa de Palma and Cala Major, provide sandy shores and clear waters for relaxation and leisure. With its unique blend of history, culture, and natural allure, Palma de Mallorca captures the essence of a Mediterranean paradise that entices travelers from around the world.
